Job Summary:
Eve & Co seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer (firm title: Managing Partner) who will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions of the firm—including Finance, Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Administrative Services. This role is critical to ensure that strategic goals are translated into actionable plans and that the firm operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with its mission and values.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned and innovative business leader with strong commercial and operational acumen. They will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operational activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. They will drive systems, policies, and programs across the organization and effectively manage the information flow required to accomplish these tasks.
This is a full-time position based in New York, NY, and will report to the Chief Executive Officer. This position will work five days a week out of our Financial District HQ office and requires a minimum 40-hour workweek and occasional evening/weekend work, depending on workload and client-related expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management
- Oversee the daily business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures.
- Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve short- and long-term company goals, emphasizing team performance and firm growth.
- Analyze market trends, the competitive landscape, and internal data to inform strategic decisions and develop innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to shape strategic direction and organizational priorities and carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Design and maintain company-wide dashboards that visualize key metrics, including financial performance, operational efficiency, and employee utilization, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Present periodic performance metrics to the CEO and other leadership.
- Maintain positive and trust-based relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate with other companies regarding actions such as partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
- Drive silo-free information sharing and alignment across the organization.
Operational
- Assess, manage, and resolve problematic developments in HR, finance, IT, or administrative matters.
- Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Identify new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and ensure operational excellence across all functions.
- Review and execute major contracts on behalf of the company and work with external counsel to negotiate contractual language when necessary.
- Ensures the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Financial
- Oversee the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the company's mission and goals.
- Develop and implement business plans and budgeting systems to optimize spending and improve cost efficiency.
- Review the financial results of all operations, compare them with the company’s objectives, and take appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
- Create, coordinate, and evaluate the company's financial programs and supporting information systems, including budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and asset conservation.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, and billing auditing procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance and objectives for the Admin, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Service, Research, and Analytics teams.
- Manage the work of outside contractors, including accountants, legal representation, etc.
- Oversee employment decisions at the executive level of the company.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master of Business Administration
- Minimum of 15-18 years of full-time professional experience in a professional service setting. Experience in professional services preferred.
- 10+ years of direct experience managing a team.
- Proven track record in operational leadership, preferably within consulting, professional services, or mission-driven organizations.
- Experience with strategic planning, performance metrics, and stakeholder engagement is essential.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level.
- Established skillsets in managing across business functions, including human resources, finance, research, sales, marketing, legal, and client management.

- Knowledge of best practices in operational and financial management, including quality assurance and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
