Company Description
The Honest Coconut is on a mission to make whole coconut hydration part of everyday life—at offices, campuses, sporting events, gyms, hospitals, festivals, weddings, and beyond. We’re looking for motivated, entrepreneurially minded GO-GETTERS to open new B2B accounts and and events opportunities, and help run the playbook to deliver unforgettable coconut experiences.
This is a 1099, performance-based role with uncapped, tiered profit share and hands-on guidance from our team. We’ll equip you with product, brand, SOPs, CRM and hands-on training while you ramp—then it’s your show to sell, execute, and grow your book. We ARE looking to make our first W2 hire(s) from whoever SHINES in this role.
What you’ll do
• Hunt & close: Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and win B2B placements (country clubs, universities, bars/restaurants, corporate offices, hospitals, hotels, gyms, retailers) and event contracts (weddings, college events, social/fitness events, festivals, music events).
• Run the play: Coordinate launches and activations—cold-chain logistics, staffing, sampling/demos, POS, and on-site brand experience.
• Build a real pipeline: Keep immaculate deal tracking in HubSpot (stages, notes, next actions). Share weekly status and forecast.
• Build Relationships: Represent The Honest Coconut with professionalism, reliability, and a service mindset.
• Learn fast, iterate fast: Bring back market intel and help refine pricing, packaging, outreach, and ops.
How we’ll support you
• Playbooks & SOPs for B2B and events, pricing guides, talk tracks, and outreach templates.
• HubSpot CRM access and sales coaching, demo coconuts, branded collateral, and one-pagers.
• Cold-chain & ops backbone: product supply, logistics coordination, and on-site best practices.
• Regular coaching: quick feedback loops, weekly syncs, and a 90-day performance review to tune the model.
Compensation (1099, uncapped + tips from events)
Profit share is calculated on pre-tax profit for each qualifying deal/event (revenue minus COGS and deal-direct expenses). One tier applies per deal:
• 20% — You source, close, and operationally run the deal (company assists only with internal admin/processes).
• 15% — You source OR play a foundational part of operations/deal flow/negotiation/fulfillment (shared lift with the team).
• 10% — You support fulfillment/operations only with no sourcing or major negotiation role.
Payouts: Monthly statements; ACH by month-end.
This role has no base salary. Reasonable, pre-approved deal-specific expenses are reimbursable.
Term & reviews
• Contract through May 31, 2026.
• Renegotiation window opens April 30, 2026.
• 90-day performance review from start date.
• Counterparty will name the entity used for the 1099 agreement.
You might be a fit if you…
• Are a self-starter with a great smile, confident voice, and passion for healthy lifestyle (we're all about raw coconut hydration, after all) who takes pride in ownership and honoring their commitments.
• Have 1–5+ years in any mix of: B2B sales, partnerships, hospitality/events, food & beverage, CPG, campus/hospital systems, or fitness. (Exceptional career-switchers with hustle, looking for their tribe are welcome.)
• Speak with confidence, negotiate cleanly, and communicate clearly.
• Are meticulously organized: keep a tight pipeline in HubSpot (or similar CRM) and thrive on goals, movement, and accountability.
• Can run events: coordinate logistics, remember the small details, create/manage checklists, set up/tear down, manage staff, and deliver a great guest experience.
• Are comfortable making your money on evenings/weekends when events happen and light physical work (moving coolers/cases—~40 lbs).
• Have a driver’s license & reliable transportation, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
Nice to have: Existing relationships in any of our target verticals; campus or health-system access; experience with retail demos; multilingual (Spanish/Thai helpful).
Where you’ll operate:
Kansas City Metro and surrounding cities, with opportunities to lead new territories as we expand.

• Fresh Nam Hom coconuts.
• On-site experiences (pop-ups, vending/smart fridges, samplings, wellness activations).
