Job Summary:
The Special Projects Engineer serves as the key liaison between the Project Team, Engineering and Production to ensure coach build deliverables and special options built into the contract are executed for the customer.
Duties:
- Key Liaison between Project Management/Design, Engineering and Production
- Research equipment and vendor components for special options.
- Work with other engineering resources to create procurement and installation plan for special options.
- Point person for production for troubleshooting build questions during the manufacturing process.
- Coordinates cross functional meetings and project reviews as necessary to ensure timely and high quality completion of special option projects.
- Development and documentation of engineering prints and build documentation for production, and to be used for future installations.
- Assist Project Manager with project reviews to confirm build process is in alignment with the customer contract and other build documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Required demonstrated expertise: MS Office, AutoCAD
- BS Degree in related field experience preferred.
- Experience with project management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Engineering or construction background a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
