About the Role
CoaterZ Franchising HQ is scaling a national franchise platform in the automotive & marine protection industry. We’re building out the financial infrastructure to support growth from 3 locations to 45+. We need a hands-on financial operator who understands multi-entity structures, clean reporting, tax positioning, and bank-ready financials.
This is NOT a bookkeeping role. This is a financial builder role—someone who can architect a reporting system, enforce financial standards, and produce clean, professional financials that lenders and investors respect.
Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial Architecture
- Build HQ + Franchise QuickBooks structure using Class tracking
- Standardize Chart of Accounts across the network
- Implement monthly consolidated and location-level P&L reporting
- Maintain intercompany structure (HQ management fees, inventory pass-through, software reimbursements)
- Create SBA/bank-ready monthly financial packages
Tax & Reporting Discipline
- File and advise on federal and state tax compliance
- Structure inventory and markup strategy cleanly in QBO
- Maintain audit-ready intercompany billing
- Ensure clean balance sheets across entities
Operational Finance
- Lead monthly close cadence
- Build job costing visibility by service line (PPF, Ceramic, Tint, Vinyl, Marine)
- Create executive dashboard with KPIs:
- Revenue & margin by service line
- Inventory usage and margin control
- Lead-to-close metrics with marketing attribution
- Management fee tracking
- Franchisee financial compliance
What Success Looks Like
- No sloppy books
- Clean reporting, every month
- Confident lender/investor conversations
- Franchisees operate inside a financial system—not outside it
- Headquarters controls inventory, profitability, and compliance by design
Requirements
✔ QuickBooks Online EXPERT – non-negotiable
✔ Must have experience building financial structure, not just maintaining it
✔ Strong command of multi-entity accounting
✔ Experience with inventory tracking & product/service mapping
✔ Can produce clean management reports
✔ Comfortable drafting financial policies and billing structures
✔ Bonus (Preferred, Not Required): Franchise systems, automotive/marine, construction, distribution, or service-based businesses
✔ Bonus: Experience with SBA or bank financing models
