About the Role
Smith Fertilizer & Grain is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Social Media & Marketing Manager to join our team. This flexible, hybrid, part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and hands-on content creation. The role focuses on managing and growing our social media presence, developing branding and apparel ideas, and creating marketing materials that highlight our products, services, and team.
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative—someone who can turn discussions with our sales and operations teams into clear, effective marketing messages and visuals. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to enhance how Smith Fertilizer & Grain communicates with customers and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow company social media platforms through engaging and consistent content.
- Create and schedule posts that promote company services, community involvement, and brand awareness.
- Develop creative ideas for branding, apparel, signage, and promotional materials.
- Manage and design content for the company’s roadside digital video board and other digital displays.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop marketing materials based on meetings, events, and seasonal priorities.
- Capture photos and videos for use in digital and print campaigns.
- Track engagement metrics and suggest improvements for online presence.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all platforms and materials.
Qualifications
- Experience in social media management, marketing, or communications.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual design skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to create and execute marketing ideas.
- Comfortable coordinating with team members who may not have marketing backgrounds.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Photography and video editing experience is a bonus.

Job Type: Part-time
Base Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
