This position will be based out of the clients TFF location in Richmond, VA and will work a hybrid schedule with Tuesday through Thursday being in the office. While this position will initially be a contract position, it may be eligible for direct hire after the initial term.
Job Summary
This posting is for a Project Engineer in Project Construction's Renewable Substation group.
- Attend weekly and monthly project meetings
- Review notices, change orders, milestone payments etc.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and facilitate resolution
- Facilitate review of engineering design package
- Support resolution of construction issues
- Facilitate review of turnover documentation and milestone completion requirements
- Track and report out on engineering and construction progress
Knowledge, Skill, Abilities & Experience
Required
- 2+ year of electric distribution, transmission or generation experience
- Self-motivator who can work cooperatively in a team environment, but is comfortable independently seeking knowledge and information
- Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with project teams, customers, other utilities, and government agencies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize work based on project needs
- Knowledge of engineering theories, principles, standards, codes, concepts, and their application to problem solving.
Preferred
- Substation and/or transmission line experience
- Power system modeling experience
- Relay setting and coordination experience
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's in Engineering
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $47.11 per hour
