The Business Intelligence & Finance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the analytical and financial reporting needs of OwnersEdge and its operating companies. This role combines strong data and analytical skills with a financial mindset to support forecasting, business intelligence dashboards, ERP/CRM integration reporting, and executive decision-making. Reporting to the Finance leader, this individual will work closely with Finance, IT, and leadership teams to automate reporting, improve the quality of data insights, and deliver financial and operational analytics across platforms.
This role serves as a bridge between financial subject matter experts and system tools, and is ideal for an analyst who is both detail-oriented and energized by business impact.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Obtain, integrate, and analyze data from ERP, CRM, and other systems to support operational and financial decision-making
· Design and implement dashboards and reports for executives and functional leaders
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting
· Develop financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis across multiple operating companies
· Manage and improve reporting processes to ensure timeliness, data integrity, and standardization
· Assist with financial system conversions, consolidations, and data mapping projects
· Build and maintain SQL queries and data extracts to support data visualization and analysis
· Collaborate with IT to support integration between business systems and automation platforms
· Investigate data variances and apply root cause analysis to recommend improvements
· Provide reporting support during audits, planning cycles, and ad-hoc executive requests
· Serve as advisor to specific OpCo finance teams as assigned
· Own quality, consistency, and usability of financial and operational reports
Work Location
Waukesha, WI, with occasional travel to Wisconsin and Midwest offices as needed
On-Call Requirements
This position does not have formal on-call responsibilities but may require occasional support during financial planning or reporting periods
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience)
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or Information Systems
· 3+ years of experience in business or financial analysis
· Proficiency with dashboards (Power BI preferred) and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, charts)
· Experience with relational databases and working with large datasets
· Knowledge of core financial principles (forecasting, variance analysis, consolidations)
· Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Great Plains, or Microsoft Dynamics
· Familiarity with CRM systems and business process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
· Understanding of dimensional data models, normalized datasets and SQL query writing
· Experience with Python or statistical tools for deeper data modeling
· Experience supporting system migrations or financial technology adoption projects
