As an Interior Designer I, you’ll play a key role in shaping and advancing our hospitality portfolio. Working under the guidance of senior designers and project managers, you’ll support the design and execution of interior environments across a range of high-profile projects.

General Characteristics and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of compelling design concepts that reflect client vision and brand identity
- Prepare presentations, drawings, and specifications to communicate design intent
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors to support project delivery
- Apply foundational knowledge of design principles, materials, and building codes to ensure quality and compliance
- Programming, space planning, design of spaces and finishes, FF&E selection, documentation, editing specifications, producing deliverable drawing sets for finish plans, interior elevations, room finish schedules, furniture plans, and interior details.
- Under the guidance of a senior designer, perform modeling and detailing or documentation.
- Under the guidance of a senior designer, perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates.
- Under the guidance of a senior designer, conduct site investigations and observations related to existing building assessments/investigations, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations
- Under the guidance of a senior designer, prepare narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, working within project schedule and budget constraints.
- Assisting with marketing /business development activities.
- Attend client and internal meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited Program Interior Design and/or Architecture Program or equivalent experience required.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in Interior Design. Hospitality design experience a plus.
- Must have a natural eye for innovation and detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of design or execution.
- Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Programs and 3-D model software.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Community involvement and participation in NEWH, IIDA or affiliated Interior Design organization is a plus.
- Familiarity with DesignSpec a plus
- Proficiency with computer software including Sketch-Up, and Rhino, Grasshopper
- Good communication and presentation skills
Salary range for this position varies between $60,000 – $80,000, depending upon applicable experience.
