Job Description - Project Engineer, Biomechanics
-This is a permanent onsite position in Houston, TX, available immediately.
-This position entails evaluating human motion, injury mechanisms, and injury potential during these different events and analyzing if and how these injuries may have been prevented or mitigated
- Critically reviewing technical and non-technical materials, including witness statements and testimony, investigative file materials, photographs, and medical records.
- Extracting and synthesizing key findings from materials reviewed and preparing summaries for internal and external (client) presentations.
- Researching and analyzing biomechanical literature, scientific literature, and test data as it relates to human kinematics, injury mechanisms, and injury potential.
- Planning and executing vehicle and crash simulator (HYGE sled) testing with human participants and/or anthropomorphic test devices (crash test dummies).
- Analyzing and interpreting test data and high-speed video generated during vehicle and crash simulator testing.
- Managing large-scale projects and interacting with colleagues and clients in a cost-efficient manner.
- Effectively communicating complex, biomechanical analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and presentation (PowerPoint) format.
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Biomechanics, Bioengineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Self-starter who thrives in a small-team environment with minimum of supervision.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required (generally limited to domestic locations).
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
