Formed in 1968, The Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission (GCRPC) is a voluntary association of local governments and special districts within the seven-county Golden Crescent region encompassing Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, and Victoria counties.
About the Role
The Finance Specialist supports accounting and financial operations across multiple programs and departments. Responsibilities include preparing reports, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Depending on experience and qualifications, this position may be filled at the Specialist I, II, or III level.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, review, and reconcile financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and documentation.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, deposits, and reimbursements.
- Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with policies, contracts, and grant requirements.
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
- Maintain organized files and records with attention to accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience in accounting, finance, or related work required (governmental or nonprofit experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: $36,768.00 - $59,185.00 per year
