POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Information System (SIS) Administrator is responsible for leading the launch, configuration, and ongoing management of CSI’s new shared student information system, Infinite Campus. During the first year, the SIS Administrator will configure the system and direct implementation with an initial cohort of schools, establishing the foundation for a multi-year rollout as additional CSI schools elect to join the shared system. This position oversees data management and ensures compliance with all state and federal reporting requirements. The SIS Administrator also delivers training, technical support, and strategic guidance to CSI staff and participating schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ROLE-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

System Implementation & Onboarding
- Lead implementation and onboarding of CSI schools into the CSI-managed Infinite Campus student information system (SIS).
- Serve as project manager for SIS implementation activities, ensuring schools meet deadlines for system configuration, training, and data migration.
- Coordinate with vendors, CSI staff, and schools to manage data conversions, including trial migrations, validation sign-offs, and appropriate manual entry processes where applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors and CSI staff to ensure successful setup and integration with state and local reporting systems.
System Management & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the CSI-managed SIS, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting, and resolving technical or user issues.
- Manage SIS upgrades, security patches, and user account provisioning.
- Coordinate update scheduling and release testing in staging environment to ensure minimal disruption.
- Maintain system documentation, workflows, and data governance policies to support consistency and compliance.
- Monitor audit logs and system alerts to identify and address potential security issues or data integrity concerns.
Data Quality & Reporting
- Partner with schools on the CSI-managed SIS in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of student enrollment, attendance, course, and program participation data.
- Develop and maintain reports, queries, and exports to support school- and institute-level decision-making, compliance, and audits.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to safeguard integrity across CSI and state reporting.
- Conduct reconciliation and quality checks after major submissions or system updates to confirm data integrity.
Training & Support
- Deliver training, consultation, and ongoing support for school- and CSI-level SIS users with a customer-service mindset that meets users at their level of technical expertise.
- Develop user guides, training materials, and communications to ensure school staff are informed of system updates and state reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary CSI SIS point of contact for schools, CSI staff, and vendors.
- Represent CSI in statewide Infinite Campus user groups (CSIS) and communicate relevant updates and best practices back to CSI schools.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work with CSI departments to ensure SIS functionality supports operational and compliance needs.
- Coordinate data exchange between SIS and third-party systems (assessment platforms, nutrition systems, learning management systems, etc.).
- Set and achieve annual personal and departmental goals, actively engage in quarterly supervisor check-ins, and complete self-evaluations to support continuous growth and performance improvement.
Department Responsibilities
- Handle the usage of data systems with security and confidentiality, adhering to CSI data privacy practices and requirements.
- Collaborate with team members on establishing consistent submission practices, resource documentation design, and training methods.
- Ensure that all training, technical assistance, and compliance monitoring includes tiered processes and actions based on school performance.
- Ensure quality and availability of data for inclusion in the CSI Annual Review of Schools and other CSI initiatives.
- Participate in the review of charter applications and school operational plans in support of CSI’s role as a school authorizer.
- Support departments in accessing and understanding data gathered from state reporting.
- Provide operational support for the Chief of Staff.
- Provide technical assistance and back-up support to other collections as needed.
- Establish and maintain practices that advance departmental and organizational knowledge management efforts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
At a minimum, we are looking for the following:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a student information system administrator—Infinite Campus strongly preferred— for a K-12 school, network, or district, including experience with troubleshooting and coordinating issue resolution with vendors.
- Advanced Excel skills demonstrated by the ability to structure, manipulate, and validate large datasets for data quality and reporting beyond basic spreadsheet functions.
- Knowledge of relational databases, queries, reporting tools, and data integration processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with adaptability and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to train and support diverse users with patience, clarity, and a customer-service mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to build relationships across schools, CSI departments, and vendors.
- All final candidates must successfully pass a thorough criminal background check.
Ideal candidates will have some, or all, of the following education, skills, and abilities:
- Experience with change management and process improvement.
- Experience working with schools and vendors in data migration processes.
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations and data import/export processes.
- Experience with identity management (SSO, Active Directory, role-based permissions).
- Familiarity with other student information systems and student plan management systems used in the state of Colorado
- Knowledge of and experience with Colorado state reporting requirements strongly preferred
LOCATION & TRAVEL
Candidates must be residents of Colorado. Employees will primarily work from a home office and must have a suitable workspace to support remote duties. Some within-state travel is required, and the role requires reliable transportation.
SALARY RANGE
Starting at $74,000–$110,000 annually. This range allows flexibility to offer competitive pay to candidates based on skills and experience.
