Under direction of a licensed architect or project manager, develop and
manage all phases of architectural design for projects of various
scales, including small- to large-scale buildings, mixed-use
developments, and urban-scale planning projects, including concept
design, schematic design, design development, construction
documentation, and construction administration; conduct feasibility
studies, site analysis, programming, and master planning for complex
urban-scale developments, integrating zoning regulations, sustainability
strategies, and community needs into cohesive design solutions; lead
design development by translating conceptual ideas into architectural
plans, ensuring aesthetic, functional, and technical excellence by
project goals, client expectations, and industry best practices;
research, analyze, and apply local, national, and international building
codes, zoning laws, accessibility guidelines, and sustainability
standards including LEED and WELL to ensure regulatory compliance and
sustainable design implementation; produce and refine design
presentations through a combination of freehand sketches, physical
models, and digital renderings using industry-standard software,
including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, D5, 3D Studio MAX, SketchUp,
Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; set up and manage VR architectural
visualization environments for design presentations and in-house design
reviews, ensuring high-quality immersive experiences for clients and
stakeholders; prepare detailed construction documentation, including
architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and material
selections, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and coordination with
structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines; act as a liaison
between clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies,
facilitating project coordination, permitting, and approval processes to
ensure timely execution; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams,
including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection
(MEP/FP), landscape, lighting, acoustic, curtain wall, security, and
signage consultants, to integrate engineering systems into architectural
designs; oversee construction administration tasks, including site
visits, field reports, punch lists, submittal reviews, and RFIs,
ensuring design integrity and compliance with construction documents;
assist in project budgeting and cost estimation by reviewing bids,
contractor proposals, and material selections, collaborating with
clients and project managers to align design aspirations with financial
constraints; implement sustainable and high-performance building design
principles, working with sustainability consultants to incorporate
passive design strategies, energy-efficient technologies, and resilient
building materials; participate in post-occupancy evaluations and design
performance reviews, analyzing user feedback and building performance
metrics to inform future projects and continuous improvement strategies;
analyze sketches, photographs, notes, and site surveys to determine the
best approaches for resolving technical design issues related to site
conditions, building structure, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems,
fire protection, and material selections for intricate detailing;
prepare comprehensive design documentation for corporate, commercial,
and mixed-use projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements,
landlord approvals, and municipal regulations; conduct field
observations and site visits during construction phases to review
structural, MEP, and architectural elements for compliance with contract
documents and design intent; coordinate with contractors and owners to
ensure the design intent is achieved throughout the construction
process, reviewing shop dr wings, submittals, and requests for changes
to align with architectural vision and technical requirements; implement
high-performance design strategies across a range of project types,
including transportation infrastructure, high-rise buildings, and retail
environments, ensuring seamless integration of sustainability measures;
work in conjunction with sustainable design leadership in the continued
improvement and development of high-performance design practices to
maintain and improve the quality and consistency of the design
environment; collaborate with project teams to integrate innovative
digital workflows, computational design strategies, and AI-enhanced
