The Merchandising Coordinator will report to Sr. Manager, Visual Merchandising, Shopper Marketing and Customer Execution and will provide high-level administrative support to the Merchandising team. Specifically, you’ll play a key role in providing deliverables to retailers on time, assortment maintenance, and purchase order management. You’ll be an integral part of the Commercial team’s success. The right person will possess strong communication, organization, and technical skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
We have a strong preference for candidate based in the Chicagoland area and able to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days/week) from our Chicago office, but we are open to considering highly qualified remote candidates for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sr. Director and Sr. Manager to maintain a solid partnership with vendors, through effective communication with the support teams
- Attend Retailer In-Store Execution weekly meetings updates
- Ensure specific retailer guidelines, standards, and timelines are being met. Including: quality, cost and timing requirements, track through existing and new trackers to ensure on time and in full delivery
- Own new product tracker by obtaining information from Global Brand teams/US Marketing teams, and communicate information to Account teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial and US Marketing teams
- Monitor competitive retail initiatives through quarterly store visits. Share findings, highlighting opportunities, and recommendations with the wider team
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager on brief creation and managing comms with brand team and creative agency, while making sure the briefs are aligned to retailer guidelines
- Liaise and build strong working relationships with internal teams and retail partners to drive global consistency and to create best practice guidelines
- Creative and develop relationships with vendors and ensure true collaborative partnerships
- Administrative tasks including but not limited to listing products, submitting new item setup information, product images, submitting stock requests, and maintaining Sharepoint Hub
- Manage invoicing and purchase orders (PO) for respective customers as needed
A bit about you…
- 2-3 years of experience in a Merchandising/In Store Execution support role, preferably in CPG
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with CPG retailers
- General knowledge and/or passion for the Beauty industry is a plus, but not a requirement
- Outstanding organizational skills while working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Superior time management and prioritization skills, with a high level of attention to detail
