THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape one of the fastest growing and most popular consumer brands, while advancing your sales skills. We’re looking for a high energy, team player with a passion for working in a dynamic environment, and a deep love of the food and beverage space. You’ll be a key contributor on the team, interacting cross functionally with Customer Success and Marketing to drive and convert qualified leads. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter with a proven track record of increasing sales revenue and exceeding targets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Sales Associate plays a critical role in driving awareness, selling our brand and product with a primary focus on wholesale food service customers, while supporting grocery sales
- Maintain a hunter attitude while developing a holistic outreach strategy for lead generation methods, often through cold calling
- You’ll be the first contact for new inbound opportunities, identifying next steps for each prospect moving forward
- Potential for in-person presentations to key decision makers in restaurants, hospitality groups, and distributors nationwide
- Act as our primary brand ambassador at industry and trade events as needed
- Establish effective communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings.
- Meet and exceed core KPIs - including, but not limited to conversion rate and lead generation
- Maintain and update customer information through our CRM system
- Assist in serving our customers needs, often through creating sales orders
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA in Business or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in prospecting, sales, and account management
- Familiarity with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
- Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; a team player
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to learn quickly and be a true problem solver
- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude
- Thrives on challenges and driven to exceed individual and team goals
- Succeeds in a fast-paced, metrics-driven role
- Willingness to travel, meeting face-to-face with clients and customers and representing the brand at tradeshows (possibly up to 20%)
- Proficient in working with a large customer database using CRM systems (experience with Zoho is a plus)
- Familiarity with ecommerce is a plus (eg. Shopify)
- Demonstrated interest in food and entrepreneurship
