We are seeking a driven and well-connected Sales Associate to expand our footprint among hobby-focused retail partners. This role is perfect for someone with experience in sales and the trading card industry. The ideal candidate has experience in the collectibles space and understands the dynamics of the hobby and its community - from grassroots collectors to professional breakers.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Development & Prospecting
- Identify and cultivate relationships with hobby shops, breakers and hobby-focused online retailers that align with ONIT’s brand and product lines.
- Research and evaluate potential partners, understanding their customer base, product mix and buying behavior within the collectibles market.
- Conduct outreach through calls, emails and event networking to generate new wholesale and distribution opportunities.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, tracking progress and conversions through CRM tools and sales reports.
- Sales Execution & Relationship Management
- Present ONIT’s product offerings, sales programs and promotional opportunities to retail partners with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Deliver sales assets, product information and samples that effectively communicate ONIT’s value proposition and brand story.
- Negotiate terms, quantities and timelines that align customer needs with internal production and inventory capacities.
- Serve as a point of contact for wholesale customers, ensuring excellent service, timely communication and repeat business.
- Gather and communicate market feedback from accounts to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations and creative teams to align on product launches, promotional campaigns and fulfillment logistics.
- Coordinate with the live shopping and digital marketing teams to leverage content and exposure that supports hobby retail growth.
- Provide insights from the hobby community to help guide storytelling, brand partnerships and future product offerings.
- Industry Knowledge & Representation
- Maintain an active understanding of the trading card industry, including current trends, pricing, key events, and collector sentiment.
- Represent ONIT professionally at hobby shows, conventions, and community events to strengthen relationships and expand brand visibility.
- Champion ONIT’s mission of connecting fans and athletes through team-based collectibles, ensuring consistent representation of brand values across every interaction.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year of sales experience.
- Experience with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic sales reporting.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows, customer visits or events.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of sales experience in trading cards, collectibles or licensed merchandise.
- Existing relationships or familiarity with card shops, card breakers or the hobby community.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Interest in sports, collectibles and/or collegiate fandom.
