Proudly made in the USA at our facility in Boise, Idaho, we serve clients across the Western United States and Canada, primarily in the hospitality and housing industries. With a strong focus on multi-family and multi-story apartments and hotels, our projects are custom-built to meet local codes, client specifications, and architectural design requirements.
We are looking for an experienced Structural Drafter. In this position you will be responsible for structural framing aspects of all assigned project(s), including the recommendation of structural solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Review construction documents for conformance with project and factory standards.
- Coordinate with Guerdon team at all project phases and disciplines.
- Generate BIM framing models for floor/ceiling and/or walls.
- Coordinate with other drafting disciplines for model clash detection.
- Generate fabrication drawings for in-house factory construction.
- Monitor progress of manufacturing in conformance with fabrication drawings and collaborate with manufacturing on all inquiries.
- Complete all additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Associates degree/diploma in drafting preferred
- 5 years related work experience.
- Familiarity with basic elements of building/construction practices and wood framing.
- 2 years of experience of BIM modeling software,
- Revit a plus not required.
- Strong understanding of schematics, system design principles, and construction documentation standards.
- Excellent drafting skills combined with attention to detail in creating precise technical schematics for interior or exterior structures
- Must have reliable transportation and stellar attendance with the ability to work overtime when required to meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop kneel.
- Light to moderately lifting is required.
- Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in shared space.
