Background on the Position:
- Seeking a professional to join the Advisory Consulting Group Finance team within Wealth Management Finance in a Temporary/Contingent capacity.
- This team provides financial and accounting support to the Wealth Management segment, focusing on advisory and consulting services.
- The position falls within the Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting job family, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and control of the firm’s financial records and statements.
- Responsibilities include development, management, and oversight of financial accounting, reporting systems, database management, and support for capital, liquidity, and external reporting functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance and other business units.
- Lead and contribute to team deliverables and projects using in-depth finance knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Promote a strong culture of accountability and uphold firmwide values.
- Produce, maintain, and automate detailed analyses on key financial metrics relevant to Wealth Management and broader business initiatives.
- Support reporting and budgeting on publicly reported metrics such as Consulting Group flows.
- Partner with various teams (Business Management, Product, Accounting, Banking, Strategy, Data, offshore teams, etc.) for insights and data-driven improvements.
- Conduct enhanced analyses to improve transparency, evaluate performance, and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare ad-hoc and recurring reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
- 2–3 years of relevant business experience.
- Prior accounting or auditing experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with senior management and cross-functional teams.
