Brand Content Creator position summary
The Brand Content Creator will play a key role within PlusUp’s creative production team, developing storytelling-driven content that builds awareness and consideration for client brands. This role blends concepting, production, and editing skills to craft short-form video content that connects with audiences authentically across social platforms. It’s ideal for a hands-on creator who thrives in fast-paced environments, someone who can turn strategy and insights into compelling, scroll-stopping stories. Core responsibilities include:
Creative Strategy & Storytelling
- Translate client brand narratives, campaign goals, and audience insights into social-first video concepts.
- Own the creative briefing process, distilling client goals, insights, and campaign objectives into clear, actionable briefs that guide internal and external content creation..
- Develop scripts, storyboards, and shot lists for video content, including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
- Collaborate with Creative and Media teams to align storytelling with brand positioning and campaign strategy.
- Present content ideas and creative rationale clearly to both internal teams and clients.
Production & Execution
- Own the end-to-end production process, from ideation through filming and editing.
- Create branded storytelling content including lifestyle vignettes, testimonial-style videos, and UGC-inspired pieces.
- Direct creators, talent, or clients as needed to capture authentic, on-brand performances.
- Ensure all content adheres to platform best practices, brand guidelines, and delivery timelines.
Performance & Optimization
- Review creative performance data to identify high-performing themes, hooks, and storytelling techniques.
- Partner with Media Strategists and Social Ad Designers to ensure brand content complements lower-funnel ad creative.
- Iterate quickly based on testing insights, platform trends, and audience engagement data.
- Maintain a “test, learn, and evolve” mindset to continuously improve creative output.
Collaboration & Growth
- Work cross-functionally with strategy, creative, and production teams to deliver cohesive client campaigns.
- Stay current on social storytelling trends, creator culture, and emerging video formats.
- Contribute proactive content ideas that elevate client storytelling and creative innovation.
- Support leadership in scaling PlusUp’s branded storytelling capabilities across client accounts.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of design experience within an advertising, digital, or performance-marketing environment.
- Strong understanding of paid social creative — particularly Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Familiarity with UGC- and influencer-style creative.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Figma.
- Experience editing short-form video and motion graphics for social media.
- Strong eye for composition, typography, and color, with a passion for performance-driven design.
- Comfortable working independently and iterating quickly based on feedback and performance data.
- Basic understanding of media metrics (CTR, CPA, ROAS) and how design impacts performance.
- Organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented — able to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously.
