A great UHY client is seeking a Analyst of Capital Markets to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of relevant experience, proficient in Microsoft Office and a Bachelors degree in finance or engineering.
The Analyst of Capital Markets role is a hybrid position, with 4 days each week being onsite. This is a client direct hire position.
Analyst of Capital Markets Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the organization’s global capital markets initiatives, including debt issuance and refinancing, project finance, sale-leaseback transactions, factoring, and supply chain finance programs.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of equity transactions and financial instrument management.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, interest rates, and macroeconomic conditions to guide financing strategies.
- Maintain metrics and reporting related to banking relationships, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies.
- Assist with treasury-related activities for mergers and acquisitions, including integration with business units.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and corporate governance standards for capital markets transactions.
- Manage and track financial assurance instruments such as guarantees and letters of credit.
- Provide capital markets support to business units to optimize liquidity management and strengthen financial stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capital planning with broader corporate finance strategy, evaluating the financial and risk implications of capital decisions.
- Support pension and retirement plan investment activities as needed.
Analyst of Capital Markets Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA) preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in capital markets, project finance, or related areas within a corporate or financial institution, ideally with international exposure.
- Strong understanding of debt and equity financing, project finance, factoring, and supply chain finance.
- Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
