Position Overview:
The Cabinet Designer plays a key role in bridging design and production by preparing accurate cabinet layouts and supporting production builders with their cabinet needs. This position involves close coordination with field teams, builders, and manufacturing personnel to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of products that meet project specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in kitchen and bath design using 2020 design software, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple builder accounts with efficiency and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fast paced environment,
- Ability to multitask and switch directions as needed to meet deadlines,
- Manage multiple builder accounts with efficiency and attention to detail,
- Ensure project purchase orders align with the cabinet installation drawings, and the pricing,
- Ensure cabinet installation drawings meet Precision Homes standards and expectations,
- Monitor weekly, bi-weekly installation calendar to ensure correct materials are being delivered,
- Redlines will be addressed as needed,
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret architectural plans and revise cabinet layouts as needed,
- Order and track materials to meet project timelines,
- Address production builder requests,
- Ability and willingness to collaborate and problem solve,
- Follow inventory process tracking,
- And address other duties as assigned.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Cabinet Operations Team, Field Teams, Builders and Cabinet Manufacturers to serve Production Builder clients.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong client relationships and high customer satisfaction in turn to promote repeat business, and customer referrals.
Requirements:
- Cabinetry Industry experience (2 years min)
- Proficiency in 2020 Design software is required (2 years min)
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials and installation methods
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints
- Knowledge of additional design software is a plus
- Knowledge of SupplyPro program is a plus
- Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar CRM/ project management software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
Compensation Structure:
Salary Base $55,000.00
