About the Role
DEVELOP is hiring an Electrical Engineering Technologist or Electrical Engineer who will take ownership of the electrical quality across every machine we build. If it has a wire on it, you own how it looks, how it is routed, how it is labeled, and how reliable it is. This includes cabinets, robotics, sensors, drives, safety devices, modules, and all subsystems.
Your mission is to help us reach a premium electrical standard across the company. Clean wiring, tidy cabinets, well organized field routing, reliable terminations, and documentation that makes future service easy. You will help guide our path toward UL certification and build the standards and procedures that get us there.
This is a hands-on role with time on the floor, time on installs, and time supporting machines in the field.
What You Will Do
- Build electrical schematics in SOLIDWORKS Electrical that are clean, accurate, and ready to ship with the machine
- Design panel layouts and select components for reliability and serviceability
- Build premium electrical cabinets with clean routing, tidy labeling, and a high-end PC level of organization
- Route and terminate field wiring for robotics, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, safety, and communication hardware
- Create and maintain wiring standards, SLPs, and SOPs for consistent builds
- Support DEVELOP’s path to UL certification and electrical compliance
- Perform IO checks, safety testing, troubleshooting, and full machine run-offs
- Assist with installs, commissioning, and customer handoff
- Support machines in-house and at customer sites with troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Maintain wiring diagrams, revisions, documentation, and change logs
- Work closely with mechanical, controls, and software teams to complete machine builds
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, EET, or related field
- Ability to read and produce schematics and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with industrial control components and wiring practices
- Comfort with hands-on work including routing, wiring, and panel building
- Skilled with electrical tools and test equipment
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel for installs and service
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in control panel building, machine wiring, or automation
- Experience wiring robotics, vision systems, or multi-module automation equipment
- Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA, and similar standards
- Experience troubleshooting electrical issues in the field
- Ability to develop and maintain internal wiring standards
- Comfortable running tests and supporting full machine run-offs
