Key duties involve managing purchase orders, system work, maintaining relationships with external and internal partners, and tracking inventory. Will also assist with budgeting, forecasting, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Key responsibilities :
- Support buying team: Provide administrative and operational support to the lead buyer for a specific product category or department.
- Inventory management: Track current stock levels, manage all aspects of purchase orders, and forecast purchasing needs to maintain adequate inventory.
- Vendor relations: Act as a liaison with vendors, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and build strong relationships.
- Product selection: Assist in selecting the right product mix and ensure purchased products meet company specifications and quality standards.
- Sales and data analysis: Analyze sales data, monitor performance, and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Coordination: Work with internal teams (like sales, marketing and logistics) and external vendors to ensure smooth and timely operations, including deliveries.

- Must be highly organized, detail oriented and strong at time management.
- Self starter and solution-based
- Strong proficiency with tools like Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, etc
- Ability to have quick comfort level with systems
- Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Market research: Conduct competitive shopping, research new products and vendors, and monitor market trends
