Job Description:
- This role will work with the LTTS team and our major aerospace customers to assist in identifying and delivering on continuous improvement projects, with the goal of increasing both yield and efficient transition of produced hardware to qualified suppliers. The successful candidate will have experience ensuring that all manufacturing processes are well-documented, compliant with industry and customer requirements, and aligned with company standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, supply chain, and suppliers toestablishrobust production processes for new and existing components. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
- The ideal candidate will have a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. A passion for quality standards and quality product output isessentialand job duties may include technical reviews, designing new tools or systems, interpreting data, or researching the science of manufacturing to better processes/accuracy.
- This is an on-site position, meaning much of this role will require working out of our customers' facilitieslocatedin Columbus, GA.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Create, review, andmaintaindetailed manufacturing documentation (process routings, work instructions, assembly instructions, control plans, etc.) for new part numbers and production processes.
- Support supplier qualification efforts by reviewing andvalidatingsupplier manufacturing documentation, process flows, and capability data.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and customer requirements during new supplier onboarding.
- Conduct process capability studies, PFMEAs, and risk assessments tovalidatesupplier readiness for new part production.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for manufacturing documentation standards, ensuring consistency and clarity across internal and supplier documentation.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring manufacturing documentation is prepared and approved prior to production release.
- Provide technical support during first article inspections (FAI), PPAPs, and supplier audits.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency, traceability, and quality.
- Act as a liaison between design, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturability and documentation gaps.
