Position Summary:
The Packaging & Artwork Operations Specialist supports the end-to-end process of packaging artwork management, digital shelf content, and vendor relationships for a diverse portfolio of consumer goods. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within packaging operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMO, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external vendors, to ensure timely and accurate execution of packaging and product content initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
SAP BOM & Data Management
- Maintain and update packaging Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP and other ERP systems.
- Track packaging changes and ensure accurate master data for all SKUs.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure BOM accuracy and timely updates.
Artwork Routing & Approvals
- Coordinate artwork routing, regulatory/technical checks, and approvals across internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage digital asset organization, including product and marketing images.
- Support the transition and updates for packaging artwork, including label and container changes.
Photography & Digital Asset Management
- Organize and manage product photography and digital assets for use across marketing and e-commerce platforms.
- Ensure assets are filed correctly and accessible to internal teams.
Digital Shelf Management
- Publish and syndicate product data, images, and rich content to platforms such as Syndigo, 1 World Sync, NielsenIQ Brand Bank, and retailer portals.
- Support product data updates and image uploads, ensuring consistent and correct information across all platforms.
Vendor & Relationship Management
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments and packaging/artwork vendors.
- Coordinate with agencies, printers, prepress, and clearinghouse partners for artwork and packaging projects.
- Track scopes, timelines, and invoices; maintain accurate and detailed records.
Partnership with PMO
- Collaborate closely with the PMO and cross-functional teams to support commercialization, packaging changeovers, and project tracking.
- Assist in reporting and maintaining documentation libraries for packaging and artwork activities.
Continuous Improvement
- Support process enhancements and system improvements (e.g., SmartFlow, Esko, BLUE).
- Assist in designing and refining SOPs for artwork and packaging operations.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Comfortable using SAP, Excel, and digital asset management tools.
- Experience with digital shelf platforms (Syndigo, 1WS, retailer portals) preferred.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Prior experience in packaging, marketing, or artwork operations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
