We are seeking a full-time Jr. HR Generalist to join our HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional eager to learn, grow, and gain invaluable hands-on HR experience.
In this role, you will support day-to-day HR operations, serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers, assist with onboarding/offboarding procedures, collaborate on hiring needs, maintain HR policies and process documentation, support licensing renewals and compliance, and assist with coordinating occasional offsite company events. You will work closely with our HR Manager, who is committed to mentoring and developing your HR skills based on your career goals.
This is an
entry-level position and
no prior HR experience is required (1-2 years of HR or Office/Business Ops related experience is a plus). We offer strong long-term growth potential, with dedicated mentoring and training, and opportunities for expanding HR responsibilities and advancement within the company.
We are located in Santa Clara, California, and are looking for local candidates only. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., no sponsorship will be offered.

Requirements
Required Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion. Must possess a high level of trust and integrity at all times.

- Must be extremely reliable, resourceful, and able to provide consistent support to employees and managers
- Familiarity with HR software systems and tools is a plus (e.g., HRIS platforms or ATS Systems) but not required; eagerness to quickly learn and grow with the HR field and support the HR manager with administrative tasks is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform a wide variety of HR, operational, and related clerical tasks; such as formatting company laptops, conducting onboarding/offboarding procedures and managing system/access setup and deactivation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all day-to-day HR-related inquiries and provide HR Guidance/Support to employees, as needed.
- Serve as the primary admin for our company platforms, such as Google Workspace, Slack, 1Password, GrubHub, etc
- Manage Recruitment process using our ATS (Workable); collaborate with hiring managers to support efficient recruitment practices; draft and post job descriptions, schedule interviews, and manage candidate pipeline.
- With the guidance of the HR Manager, serve as an advisor to Managers/Directors and the CEO, as needed in order to mitigate potential legal risk and to protect the company at all times from any potential liability.
- Support benefits administration processes; initiate performance review cycles, conduct background checks, I-9 verifications, professional references, and employment/education verifications; audit and ensure completion of legally required compliance trainings.
- Continuously look for opportunities to automate and improve HR, Admin, and Business Operations processes, and ensure all process documentation remains up to date
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in HR or Office/Business Operations is a plus.
- Candidates with over 3 years of HR experience will NOT be considered for this role.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Sociology, or related field
- A strong passion for developing a long-term career in Human Resources is required for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Foundational or general knowledge of CA labor laws and HR best practices is a plus
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, tech-driven professional environment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of IT support; including formatting company laptops, downloading software applications such as Slack, or performing basic troubleshooting is an advantage.

The pay range for this position is $28 - $35 per hour, but is depending on education and experience level.
