The Marketing Communications Associate is a cross-trained role that supports account leadership and corporate/industrial clients with a variety of marketing and communications activities. Tiny Mighty addresses client needs with a 360-degree approach to marketing communications and reputation management. This role has a heavy emphasis on traditional PR, serving as the go-to person for media pitching, earned media insights and answers about the agency’s media database and monitoring platforms. Additionally, this role is instrumental in helping drive clients’ engagement on social media platforms and other online venues.

You must be highly organized, self-motivated, flexible when things change, possess a strong attention to detail, and have a genuine interest in growing your career. Don’t love writing? Then this is not the job for you. This position is full-time in the office and reports to the President of Tiny Mighty Communications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Media and Public Relations:
- Build relationships with trade publication journalists and representatives from local and national business media outlets.
- Connect media pitches with current events and identify solid earned media opportunities.
- Create media briefing profiles to support client interviews and press engagements.
- Monitor news and social landscape daily.
- Build editorial calendars.
- Maintain media contact lists and databases.
- Monitor and report earned media analytics.
PR Writing and Research:
- Write press releases and pitch story ideas.
- Conduct source interviews and ask great questions.
- Write full case histories, customer success stories, blogs, newsletters, question and answer documents, and a range of MarComm materials.
Digital Communications, Social Media Content and Community Management:
- Contribute to clients’ social media content strategy to boost engagement and brand image.
- Support execution of paid and organic social media campaigns, digital campaigns and content calendar development.
- Publish content to client social media channels and influence strategy for tailoring communications across social channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
- Administer organic and paid social media campaign analytics reporting.
- Suggest new content and ways to connect with the community.
- As needed, maintain metrics dashboards and associated Google Analytics and Search Console properties for clients.
Program/Project Management and Client Service:
- Develop and maintain relationships with client contacts and subject matter experts.
- Serve as day-to-day contact for all press and earned media needs.
- Address work thoughtfully and effectively and take immediate action on client feedback.
- Establish key dates and deliverables for projects and team.
- Execute tactically on all key programs and projects.
- Establish meeting agendas and clear follow-up actions/assignments for team.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of communications, journalism, content creation or public relations experience from agencies, associations, and/or corporations.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or PR or related field.
- Experience with automotive businesses, appliances, hemp and cannabis or public education industries preferred, but not required.
- Applicants for full-time or contract employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Tiny Mighty Communications for a visa.
