Pregis LLC is a leading provider of innovative protective packaging and surface solutions. We’re looking for a Technical Coatings Engineer to join our Protective Films & Coatings team and help shape the future of temporary surface protection products.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you’ll design, test, and validate solutions that drive sustainability, quality, and performance across diverse industries. 🔍 What You’ll Do
- Lead testing and qualification programs for temporary surface protection products tailored to customer applications.
- Partner with sales, marketing, product development, and operations to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership to internal teams and external customers.
- Design and execute lab simulations under varied environmental and performance conditions.
- Produce samples and prototypes to support customer deliverables.
- Analyze data trends and prepare reports/presentations for clients.
- Validate solutions using ASTM, Tappi, and customer-specific protocols in internal and external labs.
- Train partners on emerging solutions, sustainability practices, and industry trends.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and a tactical mindset for driving product innovation.
- Proven ability in critical thinking, technical problem-solving, and quality inspection.
- Experience working in manufacturing and operations environments.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and lab equipment software; familiarity with test software packages.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
