LHH is seeking an experienced Accountant for a permanent job opening for a client of ours in the engineering sector. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic accounting team within a well-established and highly respected organization in the Columbus, OH area.
Role Overview The Accountant will play a key role in managing the full cycle of fixed assets and accounting, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position is ideal for candidates with a couple years of accounting experience who are looking to continue to build additional accounting and finance skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting
- Prepare financial documents, maintaining accurate records and in line with GAAP standards
- Responsible for month-end schedules and journal entries
- Manage capital expenditures and provide internal & external audit support
- Provide timely reporting to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 2 years' Accounting experience
- Experience reconciling accounts, completing journal entries and assisting with month end close preferred
- Fuxed Assets experience preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay Details: $72,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
