About The Role & Program
The ESPN Corporate Strategy team is responsible for formulating, analyzing, and defining long-term strategy for ESPN by identifying growth opportunities and efficiencies within existing lines of business. The team touches projects that span all facets of ESPN, including finance, business development, affiliate sales & marketing, programming, content, research, and marketing, among others.
The internship applies ingenuity, creativity, and analytical skills in analyzing opportunities across a wide variety of departments at ESPN. The program dates are
June 8, 2026 through August 14, 2026 based in New York City.
What You Will Do
- Assist in evolving the long-term strategic planning process for ESPN, including building financial models and creating synthesized presentations for executive management
- Work in close partnership with internal stakeholders to form hypotheses, plan out analyses, gathering data, and delivering well-supported recommendations in a timely manner
- Monitor industry trends and interpreting potential implications for the business
- Collaborate effectively with executives and other team members throughout ESPN, in addition to other groups within The Walt Disney Company
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a proven ability to craft clear, compelling, and visually engaging presentations
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with effective collaboration skills across diverse teams and independent work
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Critical thinking and a willingness to embrace and adapt to fast-paced work environments
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Strong analytical and financial skill set gained through relevant work experience and course work
- Familiarity and affinity for the media, entertainment, and sports media landscape, including knowledge of business trends and technologies in digital media
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Business Administration, Finance or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
