Reporting Into: Associate Director of Business Development
Position Overview
NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking an entry-level Business Development Analyst to support business development and corporate development activities across market analysis, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. This role is analytical and execution-focused, supporting senior business development leadership with research, financial analysis, and coordination across technical and commercial teams.
The Business Development Analyst will work closely with business development, corporate development, engineering, and operations teams to support proposals, partnerships, and strategic opportunities. This role is well suited for an early-career professional interested in technology-driven businesses, infrastructure, or energy markets.
Responsibilities
Business Development Support
· Support business development and corporate development leadership with research and analysis related to partnerships, customers, and strategic opportunities.
· Assist with proposal development, partnership materials, and customer-facing deliverables.
· Track potential customers, partners, and market developments relevant to advanced nuclear and energy markets.
Market and Competitive Analysis
· Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
· Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and competitor activity.
· Organize and synthesize findings into clear summaries and presentation materials.
Financial and Analytical Support
· Assist in building and maintaining financial models related to partnerships, project economics, and strategic initiatives.
· Support valuation analysis and basic transaction modeling under the guidance of senior team members.
· Help compile data and analysis for internal reviews and leadership discussions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, and other teams to support business development initiatives.
· Help track action items, timelines, and deliverables associated with ongoing BD efforts.
· Support internal communication and documentation related to business development activities.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, or a related field.
· 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or early-career roles in business analysis, consulting, finance, engineering, or technology-focused organizations.
· Strong analytical skills with comfort working in Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
· Ability to organize complex information and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
· Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior internship or early-career exposure to consulting, finance, corporate development, energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
· Interest in energy, advanced technology, or engineering-driven businesses.
· Experience working with technical teams or data-driven projects.
Work Location
· This position is full-time and on-site at the company’s New York, New York office.
· Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
· Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
· Travel expectations: up to 25%, as needed.
Salary Information:
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
