Business Development Manager (Water Mitigation & Restoration)
We are seeking a motivated, driven, high energy relationship-driven Business Development Account Manager to expand and maintain referral partnerships for our water mitigation and restoration services. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with plumbers, insurance agents and adjusters, property managers, and other industry partners who rely on a trusted mitigation provider.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for networking, territory development, and delivering a top-tier customer experience. This position requires a combination of field sales activity, account management, and strategic business development.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
- Proactively identify, target, and secure new referral partners within assigned territory, including:
- Plumbing companies
- Insurance agents and adjusters
- Property management firms (residential & commercial)
- Real estate professionals and related trades
- Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and relationship-building activities to increase brand visibility and referral volume.
- Create and execute a territory growth plan to meet monthly and annual revenue goals.
- Attend networking events, industry trade shows, and community activities to promote company services.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners to ensure satisfaction and consistent communication.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships through scheduled visits, check-ins, and value-added touchpoints.
- Track partner performance, referral trends, and follow-up opportunities.
- Provide education to partners on company processes, service offerings, and what to expect during the mitigation process.
- Resolve partner concerns quickly and professionally to strengthen long-term loyalty.
Communication & Coordination
- Work closely with operations and project management teams to ensure seamless customer and partner experience.
- Provide accurate documentation and CRM updates on leads, partner interactions, and pipeline activity.
- Communicate partner expectations internally to help ensure service quality and response time.
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives, co-branding opportunities, and promotional campaigns.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor referral performance and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Analyze trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to support strategic planning.
- Recommend new strategies to enhance partner engagement and strengthen market position.
QualificationsRequired
- Proven experience in business development, account management, or field sales.
- Strong networking, rapport-building, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable conducting meetings, presentations, and regular field visits.
Preferred
- Experience in restoration, water mitigation, construction, insurance, plumbing supply, property management, or related industries.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Understanding of homeowner insurance processes and mitigation workflows.
