Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth in our innovative nonprofit human services organization. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all financial planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance activities. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will champion fiscal responsibility, optimize revenue management strategies, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards across diverse accounting frameworks.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to foster growth and stability.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards.
- Manage risk assessment processes utilizing COSO frameworks and conduct thorough risk analysis to mitigate potential threats.
- Lead treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, expense management, cost control, and supply chain finance to optimize liquidity.
- Supervise compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), governmental accounting regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Drive mergers & acquisitions initiatives by conducting market analysis, financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and negotiation support.
- Oversee profit & loss statements, financial analysis, and business development strategies to maximize revenue cycles and profitability.
- Cultivate leadership within the finance team through supervision of payroll management, cost management initiatives, and staff development programs.
- Prepare clear, detailed financial reports for senior leadership and board members; interpret complex financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
Skills
- Extensive experience in corporate finance including budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as revenue cycle management, profit & loss analysis, cost control, and expense management.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced financial modeling techniques.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting standards including GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, and government-specific accounting practices.
- Expertise in risk management frameworks like COSO along with regulatory compliance for SOX and other legal requirements.
- Proven ability in mergers & acquisitions processes from market analysis to negotiation execution.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments; adept at strategic planning and business analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective financial report writing and interpretation tailored for diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with business development acumen to foster organizational growth opportunities.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
