TRCTalent is partnering with a rapidly growing consulting firm to hire a full-time Partner for its Life Sciences practice. This is a U.S.-based remote role with 80% travel.
About the Role
Candidates must hold a master’s degree and have several years of consulting experience in the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the U.S. Life Sciences industry and its key market segments.
- Build and lead high-performing consulting teams to solve large-scale, complex business challenges.
- Drive project acquisition efforts, including proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closings.
- Serve as the primary executive-level point of contact for client leadership.
- Support client decision makers in addressing complex strategic and operational issues.
- Identify new project opportunities across target clients, platforms, partners, and enablers.
- Lead problem-solving and change-management workstreams throughout client engagements.
- Manage both client-side and internal project team members.
- Review and approve all major project deliverables prior to client presentations.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of client and industry data.
- Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and professional development support to consulting staff.
- Enhance and deliver firm methodologies, tools, and frameworks specific to Life Sciences.
- Collaborate with other firm offices as needed.
- Contribute content for press articles and develop presentations and marketing materials for the Life Sciences practice.
- Represent the firm as a subject matter expert at relevant industry conferences and events.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Master’s or higher) in Medical Sciences, Biology, Health, Pharmacology, Business, Engineering, Operations Strategy, or related fields from a reputable institution.
- Hands-on experience in Strategy and Operations Management, ideally within the Life Sciences sector.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated consulting expertise.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including roles in both consulting firms and Life Science organizations.
- Proven track record of success delivering consulting engagements in the Life Sciences industry.
- At least 3 years of business development experience, including proposal management and client acquisition.
- Strong goal orientation with a focus on execution and implementation.
- Fluency in a second language (German, Spanish, or French) is a plus.
- Genuine interest in mentoring and developing colleagues.
- Must have U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship (e.g., H1-B, F-1 OPT, or other non-immigrant status).
