Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Interior Designer to transform spaces into inspiring environments that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to develop creative design concepts, detailed plans, and comprehensive specifications. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals, translating ideas into compelling design concepts.
- Develop detailed drawings and 3D models using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize design proposals effectively.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents and specifications utilizing Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD software.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting solutions, and furnishings that align with project budgets and aesthetic goals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently through effective project management practices.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors during renovation or remodeling phases to ensure design integrity and quality standards are maintained.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, quality assurance, and to oversee installation processes related to lighting design, construction, or remodeling projects.
- Prepare contracts and scope of work documents in collaboration with clients and vendors to ensure clarity and accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited university
- 0-3 years of experience in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing residential or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, VRay, Twin Motion, and Bluebeam for drafting and visualization purposes.
- Solid understanding of interior design principles including color theory, space planning, lighting design, and material selection.
- Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color materials
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills in project management software or tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, renovation procedures, contracts management, and budgeting practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members throughout all project phases.
- Familiarity with lighting sales strategies and the integration of lighting solutions into overall interior designs is a plus.
