Job Description
Midwest Financial Planning Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Paraplanner to support our advisory team in delivering comprehensive financial planning and exceptional client service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to prepare high-quality financial plans, reports, and analysis while collaborating closely with advisors and service team members.
The Paraplanner plays a critical role in enhancing the client experience by ensuring accurate data entry, thoughtful financial analysis, and well-prepared client meeting materials. This position reports to the Director of Client Service.

Essential Duties
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Input initial and ongoing client information into PX and other financial planning systems
- Generate supporting financial planning reports
- Research financial planning topics to support advisor recommendations and client strategies
- Collaborate with Private Wealth Advisors and Service Advisors to develop planning strategies
- Create and update comprehensive financial plans for clients
- Develop agendas, illustrations, and presentation materials for client meetings
Client & Administrative Support
- Prepare accurate and timely paperwork and documentation for client meetings
- Maintain organized, confidential client records and planning documentation
- Assist advisors in preparation for client meetings and presentations
Team & Firm Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance in all actions within the role
- Actively participate in team meetings to support collaboration and firm culture
- Provide backup support for insurance service, new business processing, and financial planning as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Basic knowledge of financial services with the ability and desire to deepen expertise
- Strong attention to detail, especially related to financial data and analysis
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to team members
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to make independent, sound decisions
- Ability to effectively multi-task and manage priorities
- Proven ability to work well within a collaborative team environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $48,000–$55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
