Overview
The Entry Level Analyst supports mutual fund account opening activities, serving as a subject matter expert for moderately complex operational processes. This role partners closely with internal teams, fund companies, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate processing, strong client service, and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fund Account Opening & Documentation
- Review and execute mutual fund account documentation.
- Prepare, process, and record required fund account opening materials.
- Ensure fund accounts are accurately reflected on BBH systems.
- Maintain and review daily reports related to account openings.
- Investigate and respond to inquiries on fund account setup.
2. Securities Processing
- Process operational transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Verify documentation and information for completeness and compliance.
- Manage daily work volume and meet all deadlines.
- Perform intraday and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Ensure processing requirements and service-level standards are met.
3. Client Service
- Provide timely, professional responses to internal and external client inquiries.
- Follow up on open items and ensure resolution.
- Deliver superior service in alignment with business expectations.
4. Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify and document operational errors to reduce risk exposure.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Communicate professionally and constructively to address discrepancies.
- Assist with developing procedures, controls, and project support related to fund accounts.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1–2 years of Global Custody experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of at least one Operations product area and relevant processes.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research, problem analysis, and resolution.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with a proactive, detail-oriented, goal-driven mindset.
