Private Equity Associate (position can be located in either our San Francisco, New York, or Austin office)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate who will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in high-growth companies across the technology sector including for application software, infrastructure software, healthcare technology, as well as fintech . This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in investment analysis.
Key Responsibilities
• Investment Analysis: Lead the due diligence process for potential investments, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and financial modeling.
• Deal Sourcing: Identify and cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investment professionals to source high-potential investment opportunities.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and support portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational support to help them achieve their growth objectives.
• Financial Modeling: Develop detailed financial models and projections to evaluate investment returns and risk profiles.
• Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, emerging sectors, and macroeconomic factors that impact growth equity investing.
• Investment Thesis Development: Formulate and present investment theses to the investment committee, articulating the strategic rationale and expected outcomes of potential investments.
• Networking: Attend industry conferences and networking events to enhance the firm’s visibility and sourcing capabilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
• 1-5 years of experience in growth equity, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Interest in sourcing and executing successful investments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
