Position Overview:
The Product Development Intern for the Home & Accessories team will assist with the development process from concept through production. This position will support Home and Accessories PD teams.
Location: This position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
Salary: Compensation for this internship will be $25 per hour.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage all incoming samples from suppliers, ensuring all samples are labeled correctly.
- Responsible for maintaining organized conference rooms & cabinets.
- Coordinate samples to support internal teams: QA, Ecomm, Marketing, PR, and Senior Leadership.
- Prepare samples for weekly meeting presentations, conferences and other business needs.
- Manage Bi-yearly sample reconciliation for both PC & Stock samples with Inventory Control team.
- Manage TPM Signoff Process - End to end ownership of systematic sign off for SKUs with cross functional teams to meet launch date.
- Manage payment processing and database entry for samples, CER, & expense in COUPA.
- Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to support design & merchandising.
- Catalogue and maintain material standard swatches and vendor color cards, ensuring all samples are labelled and filed accurately.
- Manage shipment of swatches to laboratories, vendors, and design teams.
- Maintain sample closet inventory and organization, ensuring sample locations are accurately tracked.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or a recent graduate in 2025
- A strong business acumen
- Adaptability to new software and systems
- Ability to react quickly based on business needs
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet shifting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
