The Cost Accountant role in Haverhill, Ma is responsible for managing and overseeing various financial and operational accounting functions. This position ensures accurate cost management, compliance with accounting standards, and supports strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.
- Standard Cost: Maintain and update standard cost systems to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
- Cycle Count Oversight: Monitor and manage inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records and reduce discrepancies.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and liquidity management.
- Weekly Check Runs: Oversee and execute weekly check runs to ensure timely vendor payments and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Labor Variances: Analyze labor cost variances and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
- Closing Books: Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconciling Accounts: Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
- Year-End: Coordinate year-end activities including audits, financial statements preparation, and compliance reporting.
