Location: Portsmouth, NH - Service Credit Union Corporate Headquarters
Hybrid Position: Required 3 days per week in the office in Portsmouth
Compensation: $29.02 - $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Entry-level candidates typically start at the lower end of the range, with opportunities for growth as skills develop.
The Foundation Coordinator supports the Service Credit Union Impact Foundation’s (SCUIF) mission and goals by assisting the Foundation Director in key areas of fundraising, grant making, event planning and general operations.
This role plays a key part in helping SCUIF increase its impact in the community by providing administrative support and assisting with activities and initiatives, including a scholarship program, cash raffles, grants administration, tracking donations and expenses, event planning, donor engagement and fundraising/development work.
Together with the Foundation Director, the Foundation Coordinator will assist in raising more than $1M annually and identifying needs that are aligned with SCUIF’s mission and philanthropic focus areas: education, homelessness & affordable housing, plus veterans & first responders.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement:
- Maintain donor database to ensure accurate, timely entry of donor and gift information
- Prepare donor communications and gift acknowledgement letters
- Assist with fundraising initiatives including events, raffles, and employee giving
- Conduct donor research to help identify potential funding opportunities
- Solicit donations for event raffles and auctions
Event Cordination
- Assist Foundation Director in planning and executing SCUIF events, including its annual gala, annual golf tournament and new donor appreciation/cultivation event
- Coordinate logistics including venue selection, vendor contracts, invoice processing, invitations, RSVPs, promotional materials, social media content, and other duties
- Communicate with sponsors and guests as needed, answering emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and oversee event volunteers
- Assist with budget tracking
- Update event website as needed, including sponsor recognition
- Support event-day operations
Grants & Scholarship Management
- Help identify and vet non-profits applying for a grant from SCUIF
- Assist with the grant application process including tracking submissions and communicating with applicants related to submissions and awards
- Follow up with grantees to track and report on impact
- Support scholarship program by fielding communications from applicants, maintaining scholarship records, coordinating volunteer reviewers, and other related activities

- Ability to handle confidential information including member financial data, personal information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to work well with team members and maintain relationships, both internal and external
- Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and various web-based applications; experience with donor databases (such as Givesmart, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud or Little Green Light) a plus.
- Experience with design programs such as Canva and In Design a plus
- Passion for community impact and making a difference
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree desired. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1-3 years working in development, fundraising, event planning, or related field.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid model offered with at least 3 days required in the Portsmouth office
- Some local travel required
- Attendance required at SCUIF signature fundraising events
Pay: $29.02 - $38.00 per hour
