Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist our lead designer in all aspects of the design process and will organize and manage several projects at a time. This person should be a team player, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- organize and maintain spreadsheets that manage several projects at once.
- Communicate and interact with clients and vendors in a professional manner.
- Render lighting, cabinet and other details accurately using current software.
- Assist the lead designer in all aspects of showroom maintenance and customer service.
- Create detailed design plans using CAD software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit.
- Develop lighting plans that enhance the functionality and ambiance of spaces.
- Apply color theory effectively to select appropriate palettes for various projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. A minimum of two years experience in home design. Please be prepared to submit a portfolio.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SketchUp, Revit, and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with color theory and its application in interior spaces.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- A degree in Interior Design or a related field is required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
