Job Description:
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for managing cash flow, banking activities, and payment processes to ensure liquidity and compliance across all 15 Eagle Railcar entities. Key duties include executing ACH and wire transfers through direct bank interaction, overseeing employee credit card programs, auditing credit card usage for adherence to company policy, and supporting treasury reporting and analysis. This role also assists with the implementation of new financial systems, such as Concur, ensuring smooth integration and providing user support. Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to internal controls are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily cash balances and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare documentation and execute ACH and wire transfers directly through the bank after obtaining approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of all banking transactions.
- Verify employee credit card setup and virtual payments for credit card accounts.
- Audit credit card transactions for compliance with company policy and maintain cardholder records.
- Serve as a contact for bank representatives and resolve banking issues promptly.
- Prepare treasury reports and monthly liquidity analysis; support audits with accurate documentation.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations prepared by Accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with treasury policies.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and segregation of duties; oversee compliance with credit card policies.
- Assist with planning, testing, and deploying new financial systems such as Concur; provide training and support.
- Review and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Recommend enhancements to treasury and payment processes for efficiency and control.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to make prudent financial decisions.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–4+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to both GL and financial analysis.
