Legacy Funeral Homes is a compassionate and family-focused funeral service provider committed to honoring every life with dignity and care. We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and compassionate individual to join our team as a Monument and Memorial Design Consultant to assist families with the design, ordering, and placement of cemetery monuments and markers. Compensation is negotiable and hours are flexible. Contractor position with possibility to move into an in house role.
(Markers, Headstones, Bronze & Granite Memorials)
This role works closely with families, cemeteries, and granite and bronze vendors to ensure memorials are designed accurately, ordered correctly, and delivered on schedule. Consultant must be able to meet with families in person as well as remotely over virtual meetings. Most designs are selected from established vendor templates, with custom designs coordinated as requested.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist families in selecting and designing monuments and markers
- Coordinate orders with granite and bronze vendors
- Manage approvals, timelines, production, and installation logistics
- Maintain detailed records and provide consistent follow-up
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and partners
- Ensure cemetery regulations and requirements are met
Ideal Candidate
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communicator comfortable with frequent follow-up
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Compassionate and professional when working with grieving families
- Comfortable working with vendors, scheduling, and logistics
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in monument sales, funeral service, or customer service
- Graphic or design skills (Adobe, Canva, or similar)
- Ability to assist with memorial folders, programs, or personalized products
