Overview

A confidential wealth management platform is seeking an experienced Institutional Trader to support portfolio implementation and trading operations across advisor-led and model-driven investment strategies. This role requires strong technical trading expertise, tax-aware execution, and exceptional operational discipline within an RIA or broker-dealer environment.

The ideal candidate has experience operating in a high-volume, precision-driven trading environment, understands the downstream tax and compliance implications of trading decisions, and is comfortable executing across multiple custodians and technology platforms.

Core Responsibilities

Execute trades across model portfolios and advisor-directed accounts with a focus on accuracy, tax efficiency, and operational consistency
Manage cash flows, including investing deposits and raising liquidity as require
Perform model-based trading using institutional trading and rebalancing software
Execute trades across multiple custodians and trading platforms
Generate and review trade proposals through internal systems prior to execution
Apply tax-aware trading principles, including: Capital gains management, Wash sale mitigation, Tax-sensitive rebalancing, Execute account distributions in accordance with documented strategies and instructions
Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and process discipline
Collaborate with advisors, portfolio management, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution

Required Qualifications

3+ years of trading experience within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), broker-dealer, or institutional wealth platform
Series 7 license
Demonstrated experience trading across taxable and qualified accounts, including trusts, IRAs, Roth IRAs, and retirement plans
Strong understanding of tax implications related to trading activity
High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and risk awareness
Ability to manage multiple workflows in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with tax-loss harvesting strategies
Direct experience trading direct indexing portfolios and/or separately managed accounts (SMAs)
5+ years of progressive trading experience
Experience with: Trading documentation and operational workflows and/or Financial planning, portfolio analytics, or investment reporting platforms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,628.42 per year
