Geo Tech Consultants LLC has been a trusted geotechnical engineering firm in the Tri-State region since 2007, delivering practical, technically sound solutions for complex subsurface and foundation challenges. Based in Long Island, NY, our team works on a high volume of projects across the Tri-State region, giving engineers exposure to everything from subsurface investigations and foundation recommendations to special inspections and field testing. We’re seeking Entry Level Geotechnical Engineers who might be early in your career and eager to learn directly from experienced Professional Engineers. This role offers hands-on involvement in data evaluation, report preparation, site visits, and project meetings throughout the Tri-State region. We offer early-career engineers direct mentorship, real responsibility, and exposure to the full scope of geotechnical engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with geotechnical and foundation recommendation reports
- Evaluate subsurface data from borings, test pits, and laboratory testing
- Perform basic bearing capacity and settlement analyses
- Conduct field work including borings, test pits, and percolation tests
- Perform subgrade, pile, soil anchor, and materials inspections
- Participate in construction observation and attend project meetings
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer
- Apply current NYC Building Code requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus preferred)
- Entry-level to early-career engineers (0–2 years experience)
- Interest in field work and technical report writing
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
Compensation & Benefits (NYC Pay Transparency Compliant)
Salary: $70,000 annually
(Good-faith salary range in accordance with New York State and NYC pay transparency laws.)Benefits Include:
