About this Role:
We are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical industry, Utilities Process Engineer to design, develop, and support utility infrastructure systems within a regulated pharmaceutical or industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop utility infrastructure projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project evaluations.
- Apply strong understanding of chilled water, wastewater treatment, clean utilities, and steam systems to support equipment selection and installation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and government requirements.
- Perform regular inspections, assessments, and maintenance of utility systems.
- Oversee construction and commissioning of utility systems, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within utility systems.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering analyses.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Review and approve construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Estimate project timelines, resources, and staffing needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address service-related concerns.
- Provide technical guidance on equipment and process selection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in utility engineering with a focus on system design and project management.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations governing utility systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, including rigorous system analysis experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with project management and budgeting.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working on pharmaceutical sector projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing and report preparation.
- Familiarity with utility systems, infrastructure, and safety protocols.
- Experience with GMARS/MXES or similar maintenance platforms.
- Experience with SCADA systems and utility monitoring technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
