We currently are seeking candidates for an Engineering Project Manager opening - this is an exciting opportunity step into a management role and get to work on meaningful utility projects for both the power & clean energy space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of the renewable energy & power substation projects from initiation, design, development to execution/operations.
- Provide design review critiques to third parties and provide QA/QC input.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC) and utility specifications.
- Oversee contractor performance and maintain strong client relationships.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of substation projects, from initiation to commissioning.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC) and utility specifications.
- Oversee contractor performance and maintain strong client relationships.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Previous project execution team - experience & comfortability working with developers, engineering firms, project finance, construction, and other various external stakeholders.
- Previous experience at one point coming from a design engineering role a huge plus.
- Strong knowledge of utility standards and grid interconnection requirements is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification is a plus. PE not required, but also a plus.
Must be based in the US for consideration and bring previous 4 years of experience.
