Position Overview
We are currently accepting resumes for a "Hands On" Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our growing Electrical Engineering team. This position will be responsible for electrical hardware specifications, panel hardware layouts and creation of schematics for the overall build of our state-of-the-art robotic work cells. This is a hands-on role that will help write the specification, design and ultimately build electrical hardware into our automation systems. This role will require a 50/50 split of your time between office and the shop floor. This position does not qualify for sponsorship, you must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical to create schematic drawings based on customer standards.
- Hands on build of electrical control panels and power distribution panels
- Hands on build of automated tooling and robotic cells
- Support the installation at customer’s site
- Work alongside Electrical Controls Engineers to ensure quality hardware builds
- Review and verify existing customer equipment
- Evaluating electrical systems, products, and components to ensure efficiency and innovation during design
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar
- Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering with desire for hands on work.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
- Comfortable with hand and power tools
- Understanding of controls and power distribution circuitry
- Basic understanding of ladder logic for PLCs
- Knowledge of current safety standards
- Knowledge of best practices for hardware specifications
- Strong communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
