About Sundance
At Sundance, we craft meaningful spaces that enrich the lives of the people who live in them. We believe great design is more than cabinetry — it’s about creating places where families gather, memories are made, and daily life feels elevated.
We are a design-forward, upper-end / luxury-adjacent cabinet studio serving custom homes and renovations throughout Northwest Montana. Our work blends thoughtful design, disciplined project execution, and genuine relationships with our clients and builder partners.
We are building a team of designers who want more than a drafting role — designers who want responsibility, growth, mentorship, and the opportunity to build a meaningful career.
The Role
We are seeking a Cabinet Designer & Sales Professional to join our growing studio. This role blends creative cabinet design, technical execution, and client relationship management.
Designers at Sundance serve as the primary point of contact for their clients, carrying responsibility for the client experience from initial discovery through final order and installation. This is not a back-office drafting role — it is a client-facing position with real accountability for communication, accuracy, and follow-through.
This role is ideal for a designer who takes pride in client ownership — meaning they personally guide each client through the design, decision-making, and execution process while collaborating closely with the internal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person showroom consultations with homeowners and builders
- Lead the discovery process: vision, layout, budget, and priorities
- Create detailed cabinet layouts using 2020 Design software
- Prepare quotes, revisions, and proposals through project close
- Coordinate final cabinet orders with manufacturers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure smooth handoff to ordering and installation
- Participate in site visits, measurements, and installation coordination as needed
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and builder partners
- Stay current on cabinet lines, finishes, hardware, and design trends
What Success Looks Like
- Clients feel confident, informed, and well cared for
- Designs are accurate, thoughtful, and aligned with budget
- Projects move smoothly from sale through installation
- Communication is proactive and professional
- You steadily grow your project pipeline and sales performance
Training & Growth
New designers progress through a structured onboarding and mentorship path designed to build confidence, competence, and independence over time. Support includes product training, process education, and close collaboration with senior designers.
This is a career-track role with increasing responsibility as experience and performance grow.
