Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mozaik Designer & CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing complex components and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts. This role requires a strong background in CAD/CAM software, CNC machining, and manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and technical accuracy. Duties
- Develop detailed designs and layouts using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA, ensuring adherence to project specifications and blueprint schematics.
- Program CNC milling machines, lathes, and other equipment utilizing CAM programming techniques, particularly with Fanuc controls.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Set up and operate CNC machinery including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste while maintaining high-quality output.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine setup; perform adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain documentation of programs, tooling setups, and process parameters for continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on schematics interpretation and electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC programming with Fanuc controls and familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, tooling selection, blueprint reading, and GD&T standards.
- Experience working with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in using precision measurement instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams; understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM) is advantageous.
- Strong math skills related to geometry and measurements essential for accurate programming and quality control.
